This week on A Podcast About Catholic Things, Eric (The Ambassador of Common Sense) and Dan (The Ambassador of Non-Sense) talk about the bishops of the Church… specifically the American ones and the lack of leadership (with a couple of heroic exceptions, like Strickland and Vigano) in our country. How do we deal with it? What should our reaction be? And will the traditional Catholic Church come out on top in the end? And what about these masks… should we wear them or should we not?
This week on A Podcast About Catholic Things, Eric (The Ambassador of Common Sense) and Dan (The Ambassador of Non-Sense) talk about the "saints" of Vatican II. Years after the council, we see the devastating effects it had on our church--why then are those who made it happen elevated to sainthood, and is their canonization "infallible?" These are deep questions that extend into Pope Francis's public heretical statements, and how we should react to a pope who doesn't seem Catholic.

This week, on A Podcast About Catholic Things, just after Trinity Sunday, Eric and Dan discuss the importance of meditating on, and learning about, the Holy Trinity. Dan makes the argument that the Orthodox, and the Eastern churches who are already united with Rome, would do well to change their creed to reflect the western model of the Trinity.
This week on A Podcast About Catholic Things, Dan and Eric talk about the world-wide insanity happening in almost every major city. The riots seem to be about more than racism and police brutality. What is under attack is Americanism--and we have to fight to keep it alive.
In light of the riots happening across the country, Eric and Dan discuss anger, taking offense, and what the Catholic response should be to those who offend us. They talk about strategies they've used to keep themselves from lashing out in anger. Eric and Dan agree that police incompetence and abuse are a problem across the country, and come up with a unique way our laws could deal with it.
This week, as promised, Dan and Eric talk about the history of SSPX and why they really are no longer in communion with Rome. While many good people have put their trust in the society, sadly, they are not unlike many protestants, and seem to follow the same patters as other churches that have severed ties with Rome.

Is the Bible completely without error? The Catholic Church says 'yes.' Eric and Dan discuss the importance of recognizing the Bible's accuracy, but allowing for interpretation. They discuss Bible fundamentalists and creationism--young earth or old earth. Dan talks about the danger of relying on the Scripture itself without recognizing the authority of the Church guided by the Holy Spirit.
This week on A Podcast About Catholic Things Eric and Dan dive into the subject of DNA manipulation and the morality of genetic therapy. They use real examples, and then ask 'what if'. They both agree that most plant and animal genetic manipulation is okay, but it gives us sometimes dangerous knowledge. At this point in time, human gene manipulation is against the Catholic understanding of morality.
